History
The name of the church is San Carlo alle Rottole and this building has an incredible history. Originally built in the XII century , the church has been completely destroyed during the 60s to build the adjacent building. But the church was under the protection of the "Soprintendenza ai monumenti" (an authority that supervises the integrity of important buildings, monuments, etc) that obliged the constructor to build it again. Unfortunately there's not much about this place on the net, but if you want to discover some more information check the book “L’Italia rovinata dagli italiani” by Leonardo Borghese, where the author dedicate a full chapter about San Carlo alle Rottole.
